Monolithe Noir returns a little more than a year after 'Rin' with the single 'Flutter' to announce the release of a still unknown format, somewhere in 2024. The specifications were quite simple: to involve a maximum of people. Billy Fuller (Beak>), Aurélien Auchain (June Moan, Mountain Bike), Christophe Claeys (Amatorski, Mark Lanegan†), Clara Levy (Ensemble Ictus), Raphaële Germser (Birdpen), Isabelle Sainte-Rose, Yannick Dupont (Jawhar) agreed to play and enrich 'Flutter'.

‘Flutter’ is about words as a balm after the death of loved ones. Like the next tracks to be published, it will accompany, as an original soundtrack, a family radio documentary by Antoine Messager-Pasqualini, currently under construction.

‘Flutter’ also marks a moment of doubt, a moment of stopping: what value for music? His point? How can we communicate it and for whom, for what, at a time when so much violence - violence that has always existed - bursts before our eyes and ears?

Unpredictable by nature, surprising by choice, Monolithe Noir's music escapes all the over-used
adjectives that divide our record collections but cheerfully digs into clearly distinct repertoires:
from prog to ambient segueing into electronica and folk with a dip into the hidden gems of the Italian music library. It never hides behind a screen of fake complexity, it speaks straight to us.
